Time Did Most of The Work Here
I distrust linear narrations and seemingly objective stories. I distrust the overuse of words, terms, and sentences. There’s something dangerous about mindless repetition, letting keywords come back again and again in any “fields”. Taking anything at face value. With my latest research project, Time Did Most of the Work Here, I am looking to understand the communicative powers of blank spaces and fragments of thoughts. I have started handwriting texts (pencil) in which I erased strategic words, leaving out intentional blanks, taking control of broken communications. I send bribes of sentences, incomplete letters, in the hopes something will resonate with the receivers.
Receivers are then encouraged to do the same, find room in the blank spaces, erasing others, and sending them to someone else.
