reminiscences: Canapé
What happens when you pierce a photograph with a needle, or draw on its back? Why did you take it, or where did you find it? What memories or feelings surface? What "pricks" you?
Exhibition of the ongoing project “Time did most of the work here”. The practice revolves around altering found photographs, transforming them with embroidery, texts, engraving, and collage. These forgotten objects become vessels, letters to people the artist hasn’t met, those she misses, or ones she will never see again. She sends them to artists, friends, strangers; anyone willing to receive them.
